On December 6, a donation of $1 million worth of Boyds Stuff, including plush Baby Boyds and Boyds Bears and Friends, was made live on national television. Boyds Vice President of Sales, Michael Prager made the donation to Today Show Host Matt Lauer in front of a large audience gathered outside NBC headquarters at New York City's Rockefeller Center! On December 4, 2002, Liz Smith, VP of Stuff was on TV and no, for once we're not talking about QVC! Boyds donated 1.8 million dollars worth of bears to the Today Show Holiday Gift Drive! Boyds had the pleasure of taking part in the Vatican Exhibit in Lubbock, Texas with Bishop Nicholas, designed by Jackie Cruse and Theresa Doggett of J & T Imaginations™. The Bishop was recently auctioned off to the highest bidder bringing in a resounding $10,000 to help support the Vatican Exhibit. We have all been saddened by the tragic events on September 11th, and many of you have asked if Boyds is helping out. The answer is yes...in more ways than one! Boyds is helping to preserve our precious environment by funding the planting of 20,000 trees across the country... The Bear Trackers have done it again…they beat out the competition to once again claim the honored position as top fundraising team for the American Cancer Society's "Relay for Life." The 24-hour walk/run was held at Gettysburg Middle School May 17-18th, 2002. Boyds' donation of 20,000 bears will reach children in many Pennsylvania counties this holiday season...
