Fourteen folks from Boyds sales division participated in the Relay for Life. This year the theme of the walk was a Musical Era or Types of Music. The Bear Trackers showed they are proud to be Americans by decorating their tent as American Pride and playing patriotic music. Their banner read "United We Stand." They even had a beary special guest show up for opening ceremonies...Uncle Sam.

Unfortunately it rained from 9:00pm until 6:30am so everyone was soaked to the bone, but they kept on walking. However, the American Cancer Society did conclude the event a little early due to the bad weather. At the closing ceremonies, the Bear Trackers were named the top fundraising team with a whopping total of $10,638.66. And, Patty Schrider was named the top individual fundraiser with a total of $1,700.84. Great job Patty and and the rest of the Bear Trackers!!

Relay for Life raised a grand total of $116,626.00 for this year's event. The money will be used to find a cure for cancer.
