August is the month for backyard barbecues and fine dinin' on watermelon and corn on the cob. No picnic would be complete without Melinda McRind with Dixie. This plush set includes 14-inch mocha, bean-filled watermelon picker Melinda, who's dressed in her green-check watermelon dress with matchin' straw hat; companion Dixie, an 8-inch golden bean-filled bear dressed in a sleeveless green-check sundress with watermelon patch, red bloomers, and matchin' bow; a folk art watermelon pull toy; and a tiny ladybug (just for good luck!). Our 8-inch golden beauty is dressed in a plum brocade dress with a dark plum velvet coat and hat. Both the coat and the hat are trimmed in a snowy white faux fur (gotta keep warm when yer riding in a horse-drawn sleigh to the dance!). Bailey is fully jointed and features hand-embroidered nose and mouth.

Another Premier Edition piece dedicated to lil' kids is our Bearly-Built Villages™ piece entitled Wee Bear Daycare Center. Like the quintessential day care, our lil' cottage is decorated with bright colors, flowers, numbers, and ABCs. And the roof is removable, if ya wanna take a peek at the teacher inside readin' a naptime story to her tiny students.
