| August 31, 2004 - Thanks to the efforts and generosity of Boyds dealers across the nation, seriously ill children in 56 hospitals will soon have a lil' sumptin' to take their minds off of the rigors of hospital treatments. Each year, Boyds creates special pieces for the Starlight Children's Foundation, an organization benefiting seriously ill children and their families. All profits from these pieces are donated to the organization. Dealers may elect to donate an additional 50 cents to the cause for every one of the special pieces they sell.
The participating Boyds dealers who sold the most Starlight pieces in each region will have a Starlight Fun Center, a mobile multi-media entertainment center, donated to the h ospital of their choice in their name! Additionally, the top three dealers in sales of Boyds Starlight pieces overall nationally will have a wish granted to a Starlight child in their name! The Folks at Boyds wish to thank all of our fans who purchased Ashlee R. Angel and Twinkle, our Starlight pieces, and of course the dealers who sold them, for helping such a worthy cause!
