We Pay Tribute...
We're proud to pay tribute to the many firefighters who gave the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty on September 11, 2001 with three Special Edition pieces created to honor their memory and dedication to our country on that fateful day.
 Our American Hero...
Strength, Dedication and Courage
This intricately designed anniversary figurine, recreated from our original 2002 Bearstone, depicts a single firefighter taking a moment to pay tribute to those who lost their lives on September 11th. Standing atop the rubble, he holds his helmet over his heart out of respect for the American Flag that so proudly waves behind him. The figurine base features gold lettering that reads "God Bless America" with bottom stamped, heartfelt message from President George W. Bush:
"Time is passing. Yet, for the United States of America, there will be no forgetting September the 11th. We will remember every rescuer who died in honor. We will remember every family that lives in grief."
Firefighter McBruin
We proud to honor those who have fallen with our exclusive, 10-inch golden plush fireman, Firefighter McBruin. This huggable special edition bear is dressed for the job, wearing a black nylon firesuit complete with faux reflective yellow and white trim on both the pants and jacket. He holds his grey helmet with felt insignia for "Engine 11" close to his heart as he proudly carries a woven American Flag that waves behind him. Commemmorative edition foot sash appears on his paw pad.
 Firefighter McBruin's Helmet with Spark McNibble
Much time and effort went into creating a miniature replica of a traditional fireman's helmet to commemorate the heroes of September 11th. This hand-sculpted keepsake features intricate details, right down to the insignia plate on the front. Open the top to find the fitting "Everyday Hero" message on the inside, along with Spark McNibble who is always ready to render aid when duty calls.
Each of these three commemmorative September 11th pieces will be available in late August, but there is no time like the present to let your favorite Boyds retailer know you'll be looking for your very own when they arrive. In addition, a portion of the proceeds from each piece will be donated to a reputable September 11th charity.
